Model RFII MRI Standard Coverage Sprinklers

The Tyco® RFII-MRI non-magnetic sprinkler is intended for use inside MRI system rooms. The sprinkler was tested up to 7 Tesla (measurement of magnetic field strength), allowing it to withstand more than twice the magnetic strength of a standard MRI apparatus, which is typically 3 Tesla. The Tyco® Series RFII-MRI 5.6 K-factor, non-magnetic, concealed-pendent, quick-response (3-mm bulb) and standard-response (5-mm bulb) sprinklers are decorative sprinklers featuring a flat cover plate designed to conceal the sprinkler. Each full assembly features the following components: a sprinkler/support cup assembly and a separately ordered cover plate/retaining ring assembly. The separable, two-piece assembly design allows installation of the sprinklers and pressure testing of the fire protection system prior to the installation of a suspended ceiling or the application of a finish coating to a fixed ceiling. It also permits the removal of suspended ceiling panels for access to building service equipment without having to first shut down the fire protection system and remove sprinklers and provides for ½ inch (12,7 mm) of vertical adjustment to allow a measure of flexibility in determining the length of fixed piping to cut for the sprinkler drops.
