Meet Fluid Delivery Time Requirements

Tyco offers both mechanical and electronic accelerators designed to enhance the performance of the Tyco DPV-1 dry pipe valve. These quick-opening are designed to reduce water delivery time by rapidly responding to pressure drops caused by sprinkler activation.

  • Designed to trip when system air pressure drops at a rate exceeding approximately 1 psi/minute (0.07 bar/min)
  • Maximum water supply pressure: 250 psi (17,2 bar)
  • Upon tripping, it transmits system air pressure to the intermediate chamber of the dry pipe valve, which neutralizes the differential pressure holding the valve closed and opens the waterway clapper

  • Easy button-press for test and reset function
  • Electronically self-supervising technology, like that used in typical alarm panels for alarm and detection systems
  • Battery backup in the event of primary power failure

  • Operation of Tyco DPV-1 dry pipe or DV-5A preaction valve within four seconds
  • Control up to two QRS-2 switches on one to two system risers (Tyco Model DPV-1 Valve with AutoPulse Z-10 or AutoPulse Z-20 Releasing Panel)
  • Ideal to retrofit existing mechanical accelerators where a releasing panel is already installed
