Ideal for High-Challenge Storage Occupancies
Looking to upgrade your storage sprinkler system? The Model K17-231 is a large-orifice, frangible bulb-type automatic fire protection sprinkler designed to perform well in high-challenge storage occupancies.
The K17-231 is a 16.8 K-factor standard response, standard coverage, upright and pendent sprinkler. This sprinkler was subjected to full-scale, high-piled storage fire tests to qualify its use in lieu of 8.0 or 11.2 K-factor standard spray sprinklers for the protection of high-piled storage.
The low-pressure requirement of the Model K17-231 (as low as 7 psi) can save you money by reducing branch line size — to take advantage of maximized spacing — and upgrading existing densities.
